Supercomputer predicts outcome of Everton vs Newcastle United in Premier League

Everton welcome Newcastle United to the Hill Dickinson Stadium as they look to continue their good Premier League form.

Everton beat Manchester United 1-0 on Monday evening, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall curling in a first-half winner at Old Trafford.

The Toffees had to play the majority of the game with 10 men, after Idrissa Gana Gueye was sent off for slapping Michael Keane in a remarkable sequence of events.

David Moyes’ side were able to put the crazy moment behind them and secure a vital three points, which leaves them 11th in the Premier League.

Everton backed to draw with Newcastle

Newcastle travel to Merseyside in very inconsistent form, having lost three of their last five games across all competitions.

So far in November, Eddie Howe’s side have been beaten by West Ham United, Brentford and Marseille, but have also managed impressive wins against Athletic Club and Manchester City.

The Magpies sit 14th in the Premier League, three places behind Everton, and will go above the Toffees with a win on Saturday.

After a shaky October, Moyes’ side have hit some form again in recent weeks, taking four points from games against Sunderland and Fulham before beating Man United.

With both Everton and Newcastle closely matched in the Premier League table, it is no surprise that the Opta supercomputer is tipping the game to be a draw.

Everton have a 36.8 per cent chance of winning, compared to 36.7 per cent for Newcastle, meaning a draw is the most likely outcome this weekend.

Everton look to make home advantage count

Since moving to the Hill Dickinson at the start of this season, Everton have only lost once in their seven competitive games there.

The new stadium has been a happy hunting ground for the Merseyside outfit, who have picked up 11 of their 18 Premier League points at home.

Everton did lose 3-0 to Tottenham at the end of October, though, with that the one blotch on their Hill Dickinson record.

Any game against a Howe side is likely to be tough, and the Toffees will have to be at their very best to get a result on Saturday.

However, if Everton can let their creative trio of Jack Grealish, Iliman Ndiaye and Dewsbury-Hall flourish, then there is no reason why they can’t continue their impressive home form.
