Iliman Ndiaye will be licking his licks at Everton after latest Newcastle reveal

Everton host Newcastle on Saturday, and Iliman Ndiaye could cause some serious damage to the Magpies.

Newcastle travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday evening, and based on recent history, they have an omen in their favour.

The Toffees start the day ahead of Eddie Howe’s side in the table, though, when that has been the case, they have failed to win in any of their previous six against the North East outfit.

However, while Newcastle may have that in their favour, what they don’t have is Ndiaye, who could have a crucial role to play.

Dan Burn will have nightmares about Iliman Ndiaye

Ndiaye’s goal against Sunderland a few weeks ago was just one of several showcases of the quality he has when playing wide right.

Despite being right-footed, he is more than capable of coming in on his left and posing a threat in front of goal.

However, his close control also draws defenders in, and Dan Burn has conceded more fouls this season than any other defender in the Premier League.

He’s conceded 23 so far this season, and if Ndiaye can get at him if named in the starting 11, it will allow the Toffees several chances to create from set-pieces, having won 16 fouls himself.

With the likes of Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Everton have the quality from those situations to deliver a good ball into the area, or even have a strike from range.

Iliman Ndiaye out to extend record vs Newcastle

While he has only faced off against them twice, Ndiaye has not lost to Newcastle yet.

A 1-0 win on the final day of the season last time out, and a 0-0 draw in matcheweek seven are the only times he has come up against the North East side.

With that said, he has also yet to register a goal or an assist against Newcastle, with hopes of changing that on Saturday.

Ndiaye is already on five goal contributions this season for Everton, and his quality will be crucial to their chances of taking all three points at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
