Everton could re-sign Antonee Robinson in stunning swap deal as door opens after £40m news

David Moyes is keen on bringing Fulham captain Antonee Robinson back to Everton in January, with a cash offer and a swap deal both reportedly on the cards.

Everton’s 4-1 defeat to Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday showed that the Toffees are going to need reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window.

Moyes wants to achieve European football with the Blues, but inconsistency in results is holding Everton back from success this season.

Robinson came through Everton’s youth ranks and has established himself as one of the best left-backs in England since leaving Merseyside.

There are now suggestions that the American could soon return to Everton in what could be a full-circle moment.

Everton could re-sign Antonee Robinson for £25m

Everton just had an influx of £107m in funds from their majority shareholders, Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited, after details of the cash boost emerged earlier in November.

It’s no secret that Moyes wants to add further quality to the Blues in January, and Robinson would no doubt be a huge coup.

According to Alan Nixon‘s latest update on his Patreon, Moyes is planning an ambitious swoop for the American in January, who is valued at £40m by the Cottagers.

Nixon claims that a £25m offer could be enough for Everton to seal a deal for the left-back, as a swap deal may also work.

The Toffees are also said to be targeting other areas for improvement in the window, and will not overspend for the 28-year-old.

Considering £40m would take up a huge chunk of Everton’s transfer budget, a cash plus swap deal could be the best avenue to land Robinson.

Vitalii Mykolenko would be the obvious swap for Robinson

Vitalii Mykolenko’s Everton future has been uncertain at times in the past, with concerns over his ability to help the Toffees move forward.

The Ukrainian is valued at around £21.9m according to Transfermarkt, which, on top of an additional £20m, could be enough to make Fulham give in on Robinson.

A deal would be a significant upgrade at the left-back position, and Everton will add further leadership and quality to their backline should a move materialise.

January is poised to be exciting for Everton, and the signs are there for success at the end of this season.
