Iliman Ndiaye second in Premier League for stat that showcases his true worth to Everton

Iliman Ndiaye is known for his attacking output at Everton, but his game goes far beyond that.

Everton secured a 1-0 victory away to Bournemouth on Tuesday, with Jack Grealish scoring the only goal of the game.

Between him and Ndiaye, Everton have two players with immense attacking qualities and the ability to change a game in an instant.

However, the latter also possesses attributes that often go under the radar in the Premier League, and the latest reveal showcases that.

Iliman Ndiaye is willing to do it all for Everton

Ndiaye has four goals and an assist for Everton this season, though his attacking qualities have never been in question.

However, it is his defensive work that doesn’t get anywhere near as much attention as it deserves, with the Senegal international second in the Premier League for most possessions won this season.

Elliot Anderson leads the way in the top flight with a remarkable 111, with Ndiaye second to the Englishman with 77.

This is a stat commonly associated with central midfielders, showcasing just how much work Ndiaye puts in off the ball under David Moyes.

Via Sofacore, Ndiaye averages 2.52 tackles per 90, which is the third most of any Everton player, as well as 6.83 duels won per 90, which is the fourth most.

What else does Iliman Ndiaye bring to Everton?

Aside from his ability in front of goal, the 25-year-old also boasts an elite dribbling ability, as showcased by his solo goal against Suderland a few weeks ago.

He can pick the ball up in tight spaces and wriggle his way through defenders with ease, as demonstrated by the fact that he has completed 32 dribbles so far this season.

It’s a stat that has him in the top 97.1 per cent of wingers in the Premier League.

Ndiaye has been linked with an exit from Everton, but these stats are the reason why he cannot be sold at any price, especially in January.

The Toffees need to add more quality around him in the attacking areas, and if they do that, he will shine even more on Merseyside.
