Everton make move to secure Conor Gallagher transfer, sale expected as price tag revealed

Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher could bring his Premier League experience to Everton in the winter transfer window.

The England international is of interest to the Toffees, who are working on signing him in January.

Gallagher was being linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the summer, but he ended up staying in Spain.

Now, Moyes has to worry about Idrissa Gueye leaving for AFCON, and it looks like the Merseysiders have an opportunity to sign the 25-year-old from the LaLiga outfit.

Atletico Madrid ready to listen to offers for Everton target Conor Gallagher

Atletico are willing to listen to offers worth around £52million for Gallagher in the coming weeks, according to Fichajes.

The news outlet reports on 3 December that the Toffees are among the Premier League sides that have made moves to secure the midfielder’s signature.

It’s been claimed that the Hill Dickinson Stadium is emerging as a viable option for the former Chelsea star, with a return to the English top flight appealing to him.

As things stand, Tottenham are in a strong position to sign the England international, with sources indicating they’re ready to pay the required amount.

The Friedking Group would certainly have to break the back for Gallagher, and they may be capable of doing so.

The midfielder’s situation will obviously be one to keep an eye on in L4.

Conor Gallagher a viable replacement for Everton star

Gueye’s current contract at the Hill Dickinson Stadium expires next summer, and the Toffees should be planning for a future without him.

The Senegal international has been a key player for Moyes at Everton, and Gallagher has the quality to fill his void.

Gallagher’s record at Atletico this season

In the 2025-26 season, the Englishman has struggled to get into Atletico’s starting lineup, and regular minutes are something the Blues can surely guarantee him.

With James Garner playing as the deep-lying midfielder and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as the number 10, Gallagher’s addition would undoubtedly give the Merseyside outfit a world-class midfield trio.
