Friedkin Group need Everton signings lined up for Jan 1 after what was seen at Vitality Stadium

The Everton bench that David Moyes had at his disposal against Bournemouth will have surely caused concern.

Everton were able to beat Bournemouth 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday, recording yet another impressive Premier League win away from home.

Jack Grealish’s winner was enough to seal the win for the Toffees, as Everton fans were able to travel back to Merseyside with smiles on their faces.

Everton’s European hopes have been boosted following the win, but if Moyes is to guide the Blues to success this campaign, then he needs to be backed by the Friedkin Group in the January transfer window.

The Toffees got away with one because their bench against Bournemouth was simply woeful.

Everton had nothing on their bench vs Bournemouth

Everton have struggled with injuries this campaign, and truthfully, that’s not really anybody’s fault.

However, Moyes only made two substitutions against the Cherries with Dwight McNeil and Beto both coming on in the 80th minute, and the less said about them two, the better.

Everton also had two goalkeepers, two academy players, a left-back who hasn’t even played a single minute of Premier League football, and a winger who’s made one league start.

Perhaps the only positive for Moyes was that Nathan Patterson was back on the bench, but even he hasn’t played a full match in over a year.

The current state of play for the Toffees isn’t great, and we could be about to see a very horrible string of results in a busy winter period if more injuries occur.

The Friedkin Group need to have signings lined up

Everton had a fresh influx of £107m in funds recently from their majority shareholders, Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited, and some if it needs to be spent in January.

Dan Friedkin claims he wants the Toffees to be ambitious, but actions speak louder than words, and he needs to have signings in place for 1 January.

Everton’s current injuries:

Moyes will struggle without more depth, there’s no two ways about it, and as a result, fans may start to get on his back.

In a worst-case scenario, the 62-year-old could get sacked and then the Blues are back to square one.

A minimum of three additions are required in the window, and the sooner they arrive, the better.
