Gary Neville predicts Nottingham Forest to do something for first time ever vs Everton

Gary Neville has predicted Nottingham Forest to do something they have never previously managed when facing Everton this weekend.

Everton beat Bournemouth 1-0 on the south coast on Tuesday evening, with Jack Grealish’s deflected strike securing all three points for the visitors.

As for Forest, they beat rock-bottom Wolves by the same scoreline to move further away from the relegation zone, as their revival continues under Sean Dyche.

Incidentally, this weekend will be the first time Dyche has faced Everton since he was sacked back in January, and the former Toffees boss will be hoping for a positive return to the blue half of Merseyside.

Gary Neville makes bold Everton vs Nottingham Forest prediction

Everton have jumped up to 10th in the Premier League table after the midweek games, and have already picked up 21 points from just 14 matches this season.

David Moyes’ side have now won three of their last four in the top flight and are only three points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea as it stands.

Speaking on The Overlap, both Roy Keane and Jill Scott were impressed with the way Everton bounced back from their 4-1 defeat to Newcastle last weekend.

Scott said: “That was a good bounceback result for Everton after the Newcastle game, to get a 1-0 win [against Bournemouth].”

Keane replied: “Of course, it’s David Moyes. Of course he’s going to bounce back.”

However, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville is not tipping the Toffees to win two games on the spin, instead predicting Nottingham Forest to beat Everton 2-1 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Neville said: “I think Forest will win it. I think Forest could go and do them. 2-1 to Forest.”

Nottingham Forest looking to make history away at Everton

Grealish was the hero for Everton against Bournemouth, grabbing the winner for the visitors with just 12 minutes remaining.

Moyes’ side will be full of confidence heading into this weekend’s game against Nottingham Forest, and they have history on their side.

Forest beat Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park in this fixture last season, but according to Opta, the Trentside outfit have never won consecutive away league games against the Toffees.

If Neville’s prediction comes true, it will be the first time in history that Forest have won two games in a row at Everton.
