David Moyes has serious issue to rectify as dreadful stat shows Everton have hit 27-year low
David Moyes is risking the sack at Everton if the Toffees do not improve their shots on target per game.
The first half of the campaign has been kind to the Merseyside club, with the 1-0 victory over Bournemouth sending the Toffees to 10th, only four points off fourth.
However, the Premier League is particularly tight this season, with 15th-place Fulham only four points off.
Therefore, a quick change in form could see Moyes come under serious pressure at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and this may be inevitable if the Toffees do not improve their shot count.

Everton averaging just 2.9 shots on target per game
While players such as Beto have missed plenty of chances this season at Everton, it has become clear in recent weeks that the Toffees are also not finding the target as often as other clubs.
According to BBC Sport on 5 December, Everton are averaging just 2.9 shots on target a game, their lowest average since the 1997-98 campaign.
To date, they have managed a total of 41, which, according to Opta on 5 December, is the joint-lowest in the Premier League alongside Wolves.
- Everton have had just 41 shots on target this season in the Premier League
- This has resulted in 15 goals, one of the lowest in the division
- The poor form of Everton’s strikers have likely contributed to this
Therefore, if this trend continues, Moyes will be at risk of getting the sack.
Simply put, goals win games, and if this dries up, Everton could go on a dreadful run of form that would see them quickly dip down the table.

This is something the Scotsman needs to quickly address, either by Everton signing a new striker in January or getting his current forwards up to the standard required.
Which strikers have been linked to Everton ahead of January?
Moyes has been quick to realise that many of his forwards are poor, with the Toffees now linked to multiple strikers.
Franculino Dju has been linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium regularly throughout the season, given his superb form in the Danish Super Liga.
On top of this, Joshua Zirkzee and Ivan Toney have also been linked to Everton.
However, it remains to be seen if moves are made next month to addressing this growing problem.
