Nottingham Forest fans slammed over chants heard vs Everton – ‘Pure rubbish’

Nottingham Forest fans showed no shame while losing against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

Sean Dyche’s team have travelled to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 6 December, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall forcing an own goal from Nikola Milenkovic in the second minute before Thierno Barry scored the second just before the break.

David Moyes has Michael Keane back available, and the Englishman has started at the back for the Toffees.

With the Blues ahead, it didn’t take long for the visiting fans to sing the provocative “sign on” chant, among others.

Nottingham Forest fans show no class vs Everton

There has to be some action taken against rival fans who continue to take liberties against the Toffees.

It’s a shame to see such incidents still occur at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the away end also heard chanting “feed the scousers”.

Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas was at the game and slammed what the Tricky Trees’ supporters did, with the home fans rightly booing it.

The reporter wrote on X on 6 December: “Boos from the home end as part of the Forest away end burst into a rendition of ‘sign on’. Just pure rubbish, that.”

Opta’s supercomputer gives Moyes an advantage over Forest, but it remains to be seen whether the Merseyside outfit will be able to get the three points.

With the Toffees playing at home, fans will undoubtedly be expecting a dominant performance from them as they aim for a European spot in the Premier League.

Barry and Beto have struggled to stake a claim under Moyes this season, with the strikers struggling to find the back of the net.

Everton have started the former Villarreal star up front against Forest, but he may be replaced at the break.

The 23-year-old has gone down on a couple of occasions, and it feels like he’s picked up some sort of a knock.

It would certainly make sense for Moyes to bring on Beto for the second half, as the Merseyside outfit look to solidify the victory.
