Ex-Everton manager now in running for Liverpool job after Arne Slot sack latest
Everton have been revelling in the fall from grace of Liverpool this season.
Things went from bad to worse for the Reds over the weekend, with Mohamed Salah basically admitting that he wants to leave Anfield after falling out with Arne Slot.
The Liverpool board has appeared to back Slot, with Salah expected to be left out of the squad for a Champions League clash against Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, David Moyes and Everton are flying and currently sit sixth in the Premier League, two points away from those Champions League spots.

Marco Silva to replace Arne Slot at Liverpool?
Marco Silva and Fulham have not had the best of relationships in recent months, with constant debate surrounding an unsigned new contract.
That could open the door to the Craven Cottage exit.
Not many would then suggest that it could lead Silva to Anfield, but major bookmakers have the Portuguese manager in the running as low as 14/1 to replace Slot.
Silva enjoyed an average spell at Everton from 2018 to 2019, winning 24 and losing 25 of his 60 games in charge.

It was an average spell, and the majority of Blues would be very shocked to see him even considered at Liverpool, or even at the Hill Dickinson Stadium again.
Everton fans relish Liverpool’s demise this season
Everton fans have taken great pride in Liverpool’s demise, with many even spotted celebrating Leeds’ late equaliser in the 3-3 draw at Elland Road on Saturday.
Everton beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 and could break into the top four with a win over Chelsea on Saturday, although a tough trip is expected at Stamford Bridge.
Fulham, on the other hand, are struggling.
A 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on Sunday has left them 15th with Leeds, Forest and West Ham breathing down their necks, although they do have some favourable fixtures coming up.
With Slot, Liverpool and Reds in complete turmoil, Everton fans can simply sit back and enjoy as the trouble continues behind their wonderful season so far.
