David Moyes reveals the real reason he hooked Tyler Dibling in bore draw vs Burnley
David Moyes handed Everton summer signing Tyler Dibling his first Premier League start of the season against Burnley.
Everton only managed to take a point from their trip to Burnley on Saturday afternoon, failing to break through the hosts’ backline in a goalless draw at Turf Moor.
The Toffees are now winless in their last three Premier League games and they haven’t found the back of the net since beating Nottingham Forest on 6 December.
Moyes will be hoping that his side can end their disappointing run against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening, and Dibling could be key to their attacking efforts.
David Moyes ends Tyler Dibling injury worry
Everton are without the likes of Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye due to the Africa Cup of Nations, with Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also missing the Burnley clash through illness and injury, respectively.
It meant that Dibling was given a chance from the start at Turf Moor, with the winger lining up alongside Charly Alcaraz, Dwight McNeil and Beto in a much-changed Toffees attack.
The £40million summer signing has struggled to settle at Everton, but showed glimpses of his ability during his 88 minutes on the pitch against Burnley.
Dibling was replaced by Nathan Patterson in the closing stages, despite the fact that the Merseyside outfit were pushing for a winner, sparking fears of an injury.

However, in his post-match press conference (Everton TV), Moyes confirmed that the 19-year-old was taken off after picking up a booking.
He said: “He got himself booked late on, so we just made sure (by taking him off). There was no problem there.”

David Moyes impressed by Tyler Dibling
Before his maiden start against Burnley, Dibling had only featured eight times in the Premier League for Everton.
The former Southampton man had been restricted to short appearances off the bench and had failed to make a real impression during his limited game time.
However, Dibling put in a much-improved display at Turf Moor, with a lot of Everton’s attacking threat in the match coming through the young winger.
Moyes was impressed with the teenager’s performance, admitting that he is getting used to the team.
Moyes said: “I thought he (Dibling) played well today. I thought he’d done a lot of good things. Obviously, he’s getting used to us and getting used to the team and what’s required. He probably looked to our best attacking threat, to be honest.
“Certainly, in the first half, he had one or two moments and a couple in the second half as well. So, I’m pleased with him.”
