Everton in pole position to seal cut-price Jack Grealish transfer as final Man City fee revealed
Jack Grealish has been in the headlines all season at Everton.
Everton signed Grealish on loan from Manchester City at the start of the season, and he could not have wished for a better start at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Several assists left David Moyes and the Premier League purring, with the England international seemingly back to his best already.
It’s gone slightly sour in recent weeks, with an injury halting his progress before Grealish was controversially sent off against Wolves.
Despite that, all eyes are still on a permanent move with Man City.
Jack Grealish set to seal permanent Everton move
Moyes ruled out Everton paying £50million for Grealish at the end of this loan, but it appears that a resolution could finally be in sight.
The Daily Mirror has reported in its print edition that the Toffees are in pole position to sign Grealish ahead of Tottenham and Newcastle.
It is said that Everton and City could agree on a cut-price £30m fee at the end of the season.
Grealish is currently on £300,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium, with Everton covering two-thirds of that, although they could agree upon a reduced figure.
That would just lead to a bigger signing-on fee at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
How has Grealish performed at Everton?
There is no hiding that it has been a frustrating few weeks in blue.
With Kieran Dewsbury-Hall injured and Iliman Ndiaye still away at the African Cup of Nations, Grealish has had far too much responsibility.
Jake O’Brien and Vitalii Mykolenko having zero attacking influence from full-back has added to that, with the Man City loanee nearly forced to do it all alone.

Despite that, Grealish has enjoyed a fantastic Premier League season so far.
With six assists and two goals, not many are producing the number of chances that the winger has been in blue for Moyes and the Toffees.
Of course, the red card is frustrating, but the suspension was served in the FA Cup, meaning he will be available again for the Premier League trip to Aston Villa.
The backstory there doesn’t need exploring, but hopefully, a permanent move is.
