Man City have all but confirmed Jack Grealish’s exit amid £30m transfer update at Everton

Everton can turn Jack Grealish’s loan into a permanent deal this summer.

Everton are yet to do any transfer business in January, despite the fact that their lack of depth has been exposed over the last few weeks.

The Toffees were without seven first-team players for their FA Cup defeat to Sunderland, with several of them still not expected back in the immediate future.

One of those who missed the clash was Grealish, having picked up a red card in their draw with Wolves last time out in the Premier League.

The Man City star has been talked about a lot in regard to his next move, and after recent developments at The Etihad, his loan deal at Everton could be turned into a permanent transfer.

Antoine Semenyo transfer spells the end for Jack Grealish at Man City

Ever since he made the move to City from Aston Villa, Grealish‘s gametime has been reduced further and further each season, to the point where he became a bit-part player at best.

That led to his loan move to Everton, where Grealish has returned to his best form, with two goals and six assists in 21 appearances for the Toffees.

Man City announced the signing of Antoine Semenyo last week, and given the fact that he plays in the same position as Grealish, it’s clear that they have no intention of keeping him beyond the end of the current campaign.

It was reported that Everton could sign Grealish for £30million, with the Toffees said to be in pole position amid interest from Tottenham and Newcastle.

Given the form he has demonstrated at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, it would be a no-brainer to pursue a permanent deal.

Grealish has already been told what to do with his future

Returning to Man City would be a major error from Grealish’s perspective.

He’s nothing more than a figure in a team full of superstars at the Etihad, with very little room to showcase his true talent.

Whereas, at Everton, he has the world at his feet, and that was the point made by Bryan King when talking to Goodison News back in December.

He’s got a manager who believes in him and a club who believes in him to rebuild his career,” he said. That’s what he’ll do at Everton.

I think he’s very settled where he is. If he had any sense, he’d stay at Everton.
