Jack Grealish now in talks to seal £35m permanent Manchester City exit – Exclusive

Everton could soon land an early deal to sign Jack Grealish permanently from Manchester City.

Grealish has been a star at Everton this campaign after signing on loan in the summer, after his minutes dropped off under Pep Guardiola.

There have been plenty of high points, with Grealish’s showing against Bournemouth proving just how good he can be at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Grealish was bizarrely sent off against Wolves in his last outing, but that shouldn’t take away from a largely excellent campaign under David Moyes.

The Toffees now look set to kick off talks over a permanent move for Grealish, with a £35million deal potentially in the pipeline.

Everton could sign Jack Grealish permanently for £35m

Everton and Man City will need to agree a settlement for Grealish if he is to move to Merseyside at the end of his loan arrangement.

The Blues could make a cut-price deal happen, especially now Guardiola has confirmed a big-money deal to sign Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth.

The Ghana international started, scored and assisted off the left against Exeter City on his City debut, so the future looks bright for the explosive forward.

That looks likely to open the door for Everton to sign Grealish permanently, with former scout Bryan King suggesting that talks are already underway ahead of a £35m deal.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “I think that deal is already being discussed.

They’ve found out that he’s a decent fit for the club, and he’s generated a lot of interest from the fans.

People have opened their arms out to him there because he’s a good lad, and once he concentrates on football, he’s a big asset for Everton.

He’ll cost them £35m. That would give them scope to sort his wages out.

He’ll be a big earner off the books at Manchester City, and they’ll recoup some money for him, but he hasn’t been a bad investment for them.

Everton need Grealish more than Manchester United

There has been so much about the Englishman this campaign that it would be a blow for him to start next season anywhere but Merseyside.

Former Everton man Joleon Lescott has suggested that he is exactly what Manchester United need right now after a number of frustrating years.

He said on The Mixer: “He would be an option for United on the left.

“I don’t see it happening, but from a footballing point of view it would be great. Jack would get a certain level of freedom there.

The Englishman isn’t necessarily wrong, but the Toffees can’t let that stop them from making a deal happen for the attacking midfielder.

Everton needs to stamp their authority and make a deal happen for Grealish as soon as possible before anyone else can step in.
