David Moyes has found Michael Keane replacement as Everton eye exciting defender
Everton are scouring the market for a new centre-back to challenge their current options.
David Moyes has been left short in defence, thanks to a lack of summer investment and Jarrad Branthwaite’s long-term injury.
As a result, the Scot has relied on a partnership of Michael Keane and James Tarkowski for most of this season, while Jake O’Brien has been deployed on the right side of defence.
So, with Everton looking for a new right back and centre-back to resolve their problems, supporters will be pleased to see Moyes working hard to address that.

Everton showing interest in Estoril defender Kevin Boma
According to TEAMtalk, Everton have shown an interest in Estoril centre-back Kevin Boma as they continue to scour Europe for defensive options.
Boma continues to garner interest after impressing in the Premeira Liga, with the report claiming that Estoril are willing to sell the 23-year-old if a suitable offer arrives.
The 10-cap Togo international sees his contract expire in June 2028, putting the Portuguese side in a strong position to keep him if a club launches a bid for him.
Capable of offering physicality, reliability and strength from set-pieces, Boma could become a long-term replacement for Keane in the heart of defence.
Keane has performed admirably for Everton this term, but with his contract expiring in the summer, they could opt against renewing his deal.
That would leave Branthwaite, Tarkowski and O’Brien as his only centre-back options, with Boma potentially offering a solid fourth option.

Where else do Everton need to strengthen
A place in Europe is at stake for the Toffees this season, and as it stands, they will need to add some quality to their squad.
Of course, a new centre-back is on the agenda, but Everton are also pushing to sign Zakaria El Ouahdi from Genk as a right-back option to rival their current options.
Meanwhile, with Beto and Thierno Barry struggling to set the world alight, a clinical striker is on their radar.
If Everton can bolster those three positions, as well as add a creative midfielder to their squad, then a strong second half of the campaign is on the cards.
