Everton to seal priority transfer, Youssef En-Nesyri January exit highly probable as price tag emerges

Everton could potentially finally give David Moyes what he needs by signing Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri in the winter transfer window.

The Toffees are evidently crying out for a reliable number nine after Beto and Thierno Barry’s struggles in Merseyside this season.

En-Nesyri has emerged as a target at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Blues holding concrete talks to sign him immediately.

The Morocco international is currently with his national side as they look to get past Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations’ semi-final on 14 January.

Youssef En-Nesyri valued at £19m amid Everton interest

Al Sadd have already held negotiations with Fenerbahce to sign En-Nesyri, according to Takvim, via fotoMac.

The news outlet reports on 14 January that there’s a “high probability” that the Moroccan forward will leave the Super Lig club midway through the season.

It’s been claimed that the 28-year-old is valued at around £19million, having scored seven goals in 15 league appearances this season.

The Toffees should be prioritising a move for a number nine, with just five Premier League goals between their two centre-forwards in the current campaign, making En-Nesyri’s transfer an evident necessity in L4.

The Friedkin Group have been waiting for opportunities to back Moyes in January, and this situation feels like the right time for the Merseyside outfit to get into action and seal the deal for a new goalscorer.

TFG are looking for market opportunities at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and En-Nesyri clearly is one.

The Morocco international has a vast pedigree and European experience, having won two Europa League titles with Sevilla.

Before moving to Turkiye, the centre-forward established himself as a reliable goalscorer in LaLiga, and there’s no doubt he can do a job for Everton.

En-Nesyri may turn out to be a game-changing signing for the Toffees, with a European spot still within reach in the Premier League.
