Dwight McNeil reacts as long-serving Everton goalkeeper departs
Dwight McNeil has been constantly linked with an Everton exit this month.
Former Everton boss Sean Dyche is understood to want McNeil at Nottingham Forest, while Wolves have also been linked.
However, David Moyes is keen to keep him around at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and has confirmed those intentions several times.
McNeil, who has made 15 appearances this season, per Sofascore, has now reacted as one Toffees star’s departure was finalised.

Several Everton players react as Harry Tyrer exit confirmed
Harry Tyrer has left Everton to join League One outfit Cardiff City in a permanent deal.
The Blues took to Instagram on 16 January to confirm the news, saying: “Harry Tyrer has joined Cardiff City on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.
Everyone at Everton thanks Harry for his contribution to the Club, and wishes him the very best for the future.”
McNeil was one of several Toffees to react to the post, with Michael Keane, Francis Okoronkwo and Tyler Onyango also liking it.
Tyrer, who has been at the club since the age of seven, was never going to realistically get a shot in the first-team, with Jordan Pickford still the undisputed number one on Merseyside, so the move makes sense for all parties.
What business may Everton do next?
Tyrer’s exit and Will Tamen’s loan are the latest pieces of business for the Blues, and surely their attention will now turn to incomings.
Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri has been linked with a loan move, with the potential for a buy option later down the line.
That would surely ease Moyes’ concerns when it comes to his forward line, with both Beto and Thierno Barry struggling to get going in front of goal.
Another problem position is right-back, and the Blues have been linked with a swoop for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Yukhym Konoplya, who is set to be a free agent in September.
Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Emil Holm have been mooted as potential options for the right side of defence, but there has no update on moves for the Serie A duo, since the initial interest was reported.
Ben White is another option, but Arsenal are believed to be unwilling to sell the 28-year-old in the middle of their title charge.
It could be an interesting final few weeks of the window for Evertonians, if the club decide to strengthen their problem positions this month.
Otherwise, they may have to wait until the summer to complete their rebuild under the Friedkin Group and bring in the necessary talent to move forward.
