Everton could be next landing spot for Troy Parrott after what Miguel Delaney’s been told
David Moyes has made it no secret that he wants Everton to sign a new striker in the January transfer window.
The Toffees are currently sitting on 29 points after 21 games in the Premier League this season, but they may have had many more if Moyes had been given a capable striker in the summer.
Beto has really struggled for Everton this term and has been in a fight with Thierno Barry over a starting spot in Moyes’ line-ups.
However, Barry has also been a letdown for Everton since signing on a permanent deal from Villarreal last year, which has led the Toffees to eye up potential replacements.
Everton have been linked with AZ Alkmaar’s Troy Parrott, and Merseyside could just be the ideal place for the forward to come to this month.

Miguel Delaney reveal shows that Everton fits Troy Parrott’s needs
As highlighted by Sofascore, Parrott has been on fire for AZ Alkmaar this season and is attracting interest from multiple Premier League clubs, including Everton.
While speaking on the Indo Sport podcast, Miguel Delaney offered further insight into the speculation around the Irishman, suggesting that he wants to join an English side on the up.
Delaney said: “There’s about three or four clubs that would want Parrott. From what I’ve heard, he and people around him, if they’re going to the Premier League, they want it to be regular football at a top ten, progressive side or upwardly mobile side.
“They don’t want to be in a situation where they’re suddenly potentially in the Championship in a year and kind of have to think about that, and if they can’t get that, they would love to go to Germany.”
- Everton are currently 12th in the Premier League
- The Toffees sit just one point off Sunderland in 10th spot heading into gameweek 22
Moyes managed to guide Everton to 13th place last campaign, finishing on 48 points, with a comfortable 23-point gap from the relegation zone.
The Toffees are currently averaging 1.38 points per game, and projections of the current rate of results will leave Everton on 52.4 points come the end of the season, which shows progression.

Parrott would almost certainly become Moyes’ first-choice striker if he were to come to the Hill Dickinson Stadium this month, and would be able to progress alongside the Toffees in English football.

Seamus Coleman has already given seal of approval for Parrott
Parrott has been shining on an international stage with the Republic of Ireland, scoring crucial goals in his country’s 2026 World Cup qualification campaign.
The 23-year-old was on top form for Ireland back in November, scoring a brace in a 2-0 win over Portugal, as Everton’s skipper Seamus Coleman had nothing but praise for the forward after the match.
Coleman said: “Like us all, he’s had ups and downs in his Ireland career, but the way he’s playing at club level and to come in and play as he did was incredible.”
Parrott has scored 10 times for Ireland now, and his performances on the big stages have led the likes of Everton to monitor him.
The Friedkin Group have a massive opportunity to make a statement by signing the former Tottenham man, as Everton seems an ideal place for Parrott to come to.
