Harrison Armstrong sends message as Everton exit officially confirmed

Harrison Armstrong has been the story of a very lacklustre January window so far for Everton and David Moyes.

Everton recalled Armstrong from his loan at Preston at the beginning of the month, and he has yet to make a massive impact at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

David Moyes was impressed with Armstrong during his time at Preston, but injuries and international duty have left the Toffees bereft in depth.

Armstrong is expected to leave again for Preston, but he won’t be the only exit this month.

Everton exit now officially confirmed

Armstrong may have been the headline of the window so far, but it is Harry Tyrer who has taken that, with a move to Cardiff now confirmed.

Taking to his personal Instagram account following the news, Tyrer waved farewell to the Blues, where he has called home since he was a young boy.

Having supported Everton all of his life, it was an emotional farewell from the young goalkeeper, who thanked everyone around Finch Farm and the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Armstrong was quick to respond, having gone through the ranks together.

“All the best, brother,” he wrote.

Now, Tyrer will put everything he has behind winning the League One title with Cardiff and returning to the Championship after a rough couple of years in South Wales.

Who else could leave Everton this month?

With Everton having a bid accepted for Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahce already, it appears that one striker will be packing his bags.

The Moroccan striker is yet to accept a move himself, with the African Cup of Nations final on Sunday taking centre-stage.

Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye will be involved in that for Senegal, too, so Everton fans may well want to keep a very close eye on that.

With that news, it appears that Beto is finished at Everton.

The Guinea-Bissau striker has never been successful on Merseyside, and no matter how likeable he is, football is a brutal business, and it is time to move on.

With Gueye set to return this week, it looks as though Armstrong may be following him out of the exit door back to his loan at Preston.
