Everton can now sign striker who once did something David Moyes ‘couldn’t believe’
Everton are in the market for a new centre-forward this winter.
Thierno Barry may have scored as Everton secured a 1-0 victory against Aston Villa, but the January window remains open.
It looks as if Beto could be on his way out of Everton in the coming weeks, leaving a gap open for a striker in the squad on Merseyside.
Youssef En-Nesyri of Fenerbahce has emerged as a target, but talks have stalled after the Moroccan reached the AFCON final.
David Moyes could now turn his attentions to someone he knows already after a previous encounter in the Premier League.

Everton could swoop to sign Callum Wilson
Callum Wilson could join Everton before the end of the window, with his game time likely to drop at West Ham moving forward.
The Hammers have brought in Taty Castellanos and Pablo this winter, and both have already started games in claret and blue.
That has sparked questions over whether the Englishman will remain at the London Stadium if he remains as a third-choice option, despite scoring against Tottenham last time around.
There is a chance that his contract could be ended early at West Ham, opening himself up to a free transfer elsewhere.
Reports have emerged that this is unlikely, but with the Irons seemingly in the market for further attacking signings, it could still happen.

A move to Everton may well still be on the cards, with a chance to feature under Moyes for the first time potentially available to the Englishman.
Wilson once left David Moyes fuming at West Ham
Wilson has been around for a long time in Premier League terms after playing as a regular when Bournemouth were promoted in 2015.
The forward has been an ever-present in the top tier ever since, with injuries the only blow to his game time over the years.
In his best days at Bournemouth, the 33-year-old scored 15 and assisted nine in one season, adding to his 12 goal involvements the campaign prior.
The latter came in the 2017/18 season, with one goal coming against West Ham in a 3-3 draw, where he netted a hugely controversial equaliser with his arm.

The Hammers couldn’t believe that the goal was given after deliberation between the referee and the linesman, with Moyes left fuming on the sidelines.
Speaking after the 27 December clash in 2017, he said: “When the linesman’s flag goes up, you think ‘we’ve got out of jail there a bit. But to overrule the linesman’s decision, I couldn’t believe it.“
Who would have thought nine years later that the two would be linking up together?
There is every chance that they could on Merseyside with the Toffees.
