Everton have ace up sleeve to sign Harry Wilson as David Moyes gets ready for decisive pitch

Everton’s January transfer plans appear to be picking up speed.

The Friedkin Group know they will have to spend money in the winter market if the Toffees are to achieve European football by the end of the season.

David Moyes wants new additions this month, particularly in attack, as the Blues showed they have a high ceiling this campaign with a 1-0 away victory against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Everton hold an interest in signing Fulham’s Harry Wilson, but they have to battle strong Premier League competition to secure the Welshman’s signature.

However, thankfully for the Toffees, Moyes can work his magic to bring Wilson to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

David Moyes can offer Harry Wilson the keys amid new Fulham role

Wilson would be a statement signing to make, as Dan Friedkin would instantly back up his previous remarks about the Toffees becoming ambitious.

The versatile forward is one of the most in-form players in England right now, and the Toffees are in a better position to challenge for titles than Fulham.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is currently injured and is expected to return to full fitness later this month at the earliest.

But Wilson was deployed in a new position during his side’s 1-0 loss to Leeds United on Saturday, as Moyes can hand the Fulham star the keys on Merseyside.

As highlighted by Sofascore, Wilson played in an attacking midfield role, a position which he has previously played in. Moyes can use the hole in Everton‘s attack from Dewsbury-Hall’s absence as a pulling factor to sign the Welsh international.

Not only that, but Everton have the space and the perfect formation to accommodate the attacker’s needs over the likes of Crystal Palace, Sunderland, and Leeds, who are all interested in making a move.

Everton set to finally finish above Fulham this season

There’s also always the possibility that Iliman Ndiaye leaves the Hill Dickinson this window, so the Blues could be preparing for his departure with Wilson.

But the truth is, the Toffees are moving ahead of Fulham, and are showing more ambition, which will attract Wilson.

The Cottagers have finished above Everton for the last three seasons since they were promoted, but the Toffees now look to be moving past them.

Wilson is too good to be staying with Fulham, and needs to take the next step in his career. Everton have a new ground and fresh ambitions under Moyes, and look set to be overtaking Marco Silva’s side this season.

All things considered, Everton look best placed to sign Wilson this window, as a bid could be sent Fulham’s way in the coming days.
