Everton receive instant response from Romelu Lukaku agent after transfer approach
Everton have explored the possibility of signing Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku in the winter transfer window.
The Belgium international has emerged as a target for the Toffees as they look to bolster their attacking ranks after Thierno Barry and Beto’s struggles to score consistently.
Lukaku could cost £17million at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in January, with the Italian club said to be open to his departure.
Youssef En-Nesyri has been heavily linked to be David Moyes’ new signing, but it doesn’t look like the Morocco international fancies a move to the Premier League, leading the Merseyside outfit to possibly explore other options.

Romelu Lukaku not leaving Napoli in January amid Everton interest
Federico Pastorello, Lukaku’s agent, has frozen out the Toffees as they explored a deal to sign him in January, according to Il Mattino.
The news outlet reports on 20 January that Besiktas have also approached the centre-forward, but the Belgian national’s camp says he will stay in Naples until the end of the season.
It doesn’t look like the Hill Dickinson Stadium hierarchy will be able to convince the 32-year-old to leave Napoli midway through the season as they compete for the Serie A title.
Lukaku has been out injured since the start of the season and hasn’t made a single competitive appearance, and it remains to be seen when he will be back in action.

The former Villarreal star and Beto have six goals combined in the Premier League this season, which clearly isn’t good enough if the Merseyside outfit aim to finish in one of the European places.
David Moyes to target in-form striker after Romelu Lukaku snub
Moyes wants AZ Alkmaar striker Troy Parrott, and the striker’s heroics for the Republic of Ireland in the World Cup qualifiers undoubtedly make him a worthy target.
The 23-year-old has thrived in the Netherlands ever since leaving Tottenham, and it now looks like he’s ready to return to the Premier League, with Everton a possible destination.

Parrott has scored 19 goals in 25 appearances for AZ across all competitions this season, demonstrating he’s a reliable outlet up front.
The Blues should push to sign the Irishman in the coming weeks, but only time will tell whether The Friedkin Group will be willing to make a significant investment in a new centre-forward.
