Jurgen Klopp has already told Everton why they should sign ‘world-class’ player as contract offer on cards
Jurgen Klopp and Everton supporters have a frosty relationship for obvious reasons.
The German was manager of the Blues’ arch-rivals, Liverpool, across a nine-year period, which saw the Reds achieve a lot of success.
Klopp was not afraid berate officials, including against Everton in 2024, and that only increased the feelings of animosity towards him from rival fanbases, including those across Merseyside.
However, despite the rivalry between them, he may have already told David Moyes‘ side why they should sign their latest transfer target.

What did Jurgen Klopp say about Everton target?
Everton have been linked with Harry Wilson, who is a free agent in the summer, and could be offered a contract to sign with the Blues in the summer.
Klopp managed Wilson at Anfield, and he was astounded by one particular aspect of the Welsh winger’s game in his time across Stanley Park.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss was impressed by the now-Fulham star’s ability from set pieces, especially his shooting.
Speaking in 2019, he said: “Each free-kick is a proper threat. But we were never in doubt about Harry’s shooting abilities, his skills in that part of the game are incredible, world-class, for sure.”
Why Everton should sign former Klopp favourite
As much as Toffees supporters may not want to hear it, Klopp is one of the best managers in world football when it comes to the talent evaluation side of the game.
His Dortmund side was famous for taking obscure gems and turning them into world-class players, and he won the two biggest trophies in football with the Reds, finding value in the market.
The fact that he rated Wilson so highly gives David Moyes all the information that he needs to suggest that he should be a priority target at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, especially if he is available for no fee.
| Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Wilson | 21 | 7 | 4 |
| Grealish | 20 | 2 | 6 |
| Ndiaye | 16 | 4 | 2 |
The 28-year-old has notched seven goals and four assists this season in the top-flight, which is three more than the Blues’ top contributor, Jack Grealish (two goals, six assists).
The fact that he is a free agent makes it a no-brainer, the only question is whether the Welshman fancies returning to the city where he started his football career, albeit with the rival team of his boyhood club.
If he does, then the Toffees should sign the former Klopp favourite, and perhaps upset some of their noisy neighbours in the process.
