Juventus to offer star man in shock swap deal for Everton dud Beto

Juventus could make a surprise swoop to sign Beto from Everton this winter.

Beto has long been linked with an Everton exit after a largely disappointing spell since his big-money move to Merseyside.

Everton signed Beto from Udinese for over £25million in 2023, but the 27-year-old has never been a consistent force for the Blues.

Thierno Barry has come in from Villarreal at Everton and claimed the starting number nine role, reducing the Guinea-Bissau international to increasingly limited minutes in recent weeks.

Beto could now be on his way out of the Hill Dickinson Stadium with a shock move to Juventus now mooted on Merseyside.

Juventus could turn attention to Beto deal

Everton may soon replace Beto with Youssef En-Nesyri, with a deal for the Morocco international set to go through in the coming days or weeks.

The Toffees probably wouldn’t expect a side as world-renowned as Juventus to potentially come along and take the 27-year-old off their hands, but it may happen this winter.

The Old Lady are looking to sign Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace in January, but with everything going on at Selhurst Park right now, a deal may not be possible.

That could leave the Italian giants looking elsewhere for a new striker option, something which could see them turn their attention to Beto at Everton.

Former Blues scout Bryan King has suggested that Juventus could move for the forward and offer Weston McKennie as part of a deal in January.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “I think Mateta is going to cost a lot of money for somebody, and I mean a lot of money.

I think it would be foolish to let him go because they’ll need someone lined up, and they won’t be as good as him.

If that deal doesn’t happen, Juventus could look at Beto and do a swap deal with Weston McKennie.

That would leave Everton short up front, but they could get him and another forward player.

They’d have to go and get someone to replace Beto.

Youssef En-Nesyri isn’t bad, but they won’t let Beto go until he comes in because of their depth.

Everton to benefit from Weston McKennie and Beto swap deal

The Toffees look set to sign En-Nesyri from Fenerbache and add a renowned goalscorer to their ranks for the second half of the season.

He scored 30 goals in Turkyie last season, and there are hopes on Merseyside that he will come in and hit higher heights than Beto in the Premier League.

That move would open the door for a swap deal for McKennie, who could come in and add experience and physicality to the midfield.

The USA international is the sort of player that has thrived under David Moyes over the years, and he could go on to be the next.

The 27-year-old has also scored as many goals as Beto this season, only adding to the plus points of a potential Blues switch.
