Wilson Isidor transfer update emerges after £25m Everton development

Everton likes the idea of singing a traditional number nine amid interest in Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor in the winter transfer window.

The French forward may be someone the Toffees are exploring to reinforce their attack in the coming weeks.

Isidor could cost around £25million at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and it remains to be seen whether The Friedkin Group will be willing to make that investment.

David Moyes also has his eyes on Napoli’s Romelu Lukaku, and while the Belgium international won’t be leaving Italy before the end of the season, it’s clear that the Merseyside outfit are looking for a new number nine.

Wilson Isidor not concerete Everton target in January

Isidor isn’t being actively pursued by the Toffees as things stand, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The news outlet reports on 20 January that at this stage of the window, the 25-year-old isn’t a serious target at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Thierno Barry scored his fourth Premier League goal against Aston Villa as the Blues won 1-0 at Villa Park, and the faith they’ve shown in the 23-year-old seems to be slowly paying off.

Beto has also put in some decent performances off the bench recently, but the Merseyside outfit still evidently need more depth up front.

Moyes will undoubtedly want more than just two natural number nines he can rely on until the end of the season, and a short-term solution to bolster the striking department in the coming weeks shouldn’t be dismissed.

Isidor’s expected price tag at the Stadium of Light seems too steep for TFG to consider, especially since the centre-forward hasn’t scored in his last 10 Premier League appearances.

Friedkin Group to be forced into signing new attacker after latest David Moyes headache

Moyes could be without Jack Grealish for a few months after the England international is suspected to have picked up a stress fracture in his foot.

The Man City loanee is set to see a specialist, as there is growing concern around his injury at Everton.

Grealish has been pivotal to the Blues’ success in recent weeks, and Moyes should demand a new attacking option if the 30-year-old’s fitness issue is serious.

While Iliman Ndiaye’s return after winning AFCON with Senegal will ease some of the concerns, Grealish will undoubtedly be a big miss for the Merseyside outfit.
