Sacha Boey transfer truth emerges at Everton as Vincent Kompany fumes
Vincent Kompany isn’t happy with Bayern Munich defender Sacha Boey amid interest from Everton in the winter transfer window.
The former Burnley boss was left angry with the right-back after he wasn’t ready to come on as a substitute in one of the Bundesliga club’s recent matches.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium hierarchy are considering a bid for Boey, who hasn’t featured in the last 10 league games under the Belgian manager.
David Moyes clearly needs an upgrade over Jake O’Brien at right-back, but it remains to be seen whether they can convince the Frenchman to leave the Allianz Arena before the 2 February deadline.

Sacha Boey wants to stay at Bayern Munich amid Everton interest
Boey has everyone irritated a little by not wanting to leave Bayern in January, according to Christian Falk.
The journalist revealed on 23 January that while the Toffees want to sign the right-back at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, he feels confident about his situation in Munich.
It’s been claimed that Olympique Marseille and Lyon also hold an interest in the Boey, 25, with the defender currently earning a lot of money at the Allianz Arena.
Moyes has relied on Nathan Patterson in recent weeks, and while the Scotland international has been decent, the Blues clearly need better quality at full-back.
Seamus Coleman has returned from injury, but the 37-year-old remains unreliable due to his consistent fitness issues.
The Scottish manager is hoping to finish in a European spot in the Premier League, and reinforcements will undoubtedly boost those hopes.
David Moyes to target homegrown talent as Sacha Boey alternative
Genoa right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy is on Everton’s shortlist, with the former Arsenal player valued at £17.3million.
The England Under-21 international made his way through the youth ranks at the Gunners before joining the likes of Coventry City and Millwall on loan.

Norton-Cuffy moved to Genoa in 2024 and has now established himself as a key player for the Serie A outfit, who are 16th in the table.
The Toffees clearly could do with a few more quality players to add depth to their squad, but only time will tell whether The Friedkin Group are willing to do so.
