Fulham fans in ‘massive meltdown’ after one incident vs Everton, comical antics didn’t help
Everton were able to have the last laugh in their comeback win over Fulham on Saturday.
David Moyes watched his side beat Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage, which now has the Toffees sitting eighth in the Premier League.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was the key in the Blues’ turnaround, as Tyrique George impressed off the bench on his debut.
Everton still have their sights set on European football, and the three points are huge in their quest for progress under Moyes.
However, the victory was one of the more comical ones seen so far this season, especially for Bluenoses.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s equaliser caused chaos in the Fulham stands
Dewsbury-Hall has been a big miss for Everton while injured, and his recent return has given the Toffees a much-needed lift in the final third.
The attacking midfielder swept the ball under Bernd Leno’s grasp for the leveller before his corner kick came off the Fulham goalkeeper last for the winner.
- Dewsbury-Hall has seven goal contributions in 18 Premier League matches
- He signed for the Blues from Chelsea in a deal worth £25million before add-ons this summer
Though Dewsbury-Hall’s equaliser was the one that really caused commotion among the Fulham fans at Craven Cottage.
As highlighted by the Liverpool Echo on Sunday, one Fulham fan was late getting back to his seat in the second half and came back just in time for Everton’s first goal.
He was then unsurprisingly bantered by the travelling Bluenoses, and as a result, left before Leno’s own goal.
The Fulham keeper’s mishap then prompted what was described as a “massive meltdown” from one Fulham supporter, who stood up to disgrace the German shot-stopper.

But this was just an episode of the antics that happened from the stands, as Everton’s social media team clapped back at Fulham’s rather bizarre pre-match dig.

What was Fulham’s pre-match jibe all about?
Fulham had “Toffees crumble” written in bold as advertising for the match for no understandable reason, which led to Everton’s social media team having their say after it was all said and done.
Bluenoses saw this as a challenge accepted, as some fans even asked for Moyes to put it in the dressing room as motivation for his players, and maybe he did.
What makes the situation funnier is that Jordan Pickford keeps showing Leno up, as the Fulham keeper’s previous remark continues to haunt him against the Toffees.
It was a splendid evening for travelling Everton supporters, and one that added to a long list of terrific away games from this season so far.
Bluenoses will be hoping for more of the same in the six remaining games on the road.
