Everton are the example of Europe as AC Milan mission comes to light
Everton are the shining light of Europe once again, it is becoming clear to see.
The Friedkin Group have put the Blues back on a pedestal since they bought the club from Farhad Moshiri in December 2024.
While the results are yet to come on the pitch for Everton, at least in terms of trophies, the ownership are redefining their reputation off the field.
The Toffees still have a long way to go to end their 30-year-plus drought for silverware, but they are earning global acclaim in other ways.

What was AC Milan’s Everton mission?
European giants AC Milan sent a delegation to the Blues’ 2-1 loss to Bournemouth on February 10, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The report on 13 February claims that the Italian outfit, who have won seven Champions League titles, were on a fact-finding mission.
It states that they were trying to get insight into operational procedures at Hill Dickinson Stadium as they prepare to knock down their famous San Siro ground.
Clearly, the Merseyside club are the example to follow, when it comes to stadium building.
Everton now need to be the example for Europe on the pitch
The new stadium is the envy of Europe in terms of the design, and its state-of-the-art nature, and the fact that the Milan-based club used it as part of their ideas, supports that conclusion.
Now, David Moyes‘ side need to start getting results on the pitch, to really get the atmosphere going at their new home.
They have played 13 matches at home so far this season, but they have only won four of those games, with four draws and five losses.

If the L4 outfit are to join Milan in playing European football regularly, they need to sort out their form on their own patch, and make it a fortress, a place that teams fear coming to.
It is all well and good having a stadium which is one of the most modern and brilliant in the game, but the results need to match, otherwise it will not count for very much.
The visit from the Lombardy-based side suggests that the Friedkins are on the right track on the business side of things, but the footballing side needs to improve now.
