Everton can land instant upgrade on Beto amid Ricardo Pepi transfer talks
Everton could make a swoop to sign Ricardo Pepi once the summer transfer window opens.
Pepi has been linked to Everton previously, but the forward has ultimately stuck around PSV for the past three years.
The American so nearly departed in January, but a broken arm ruled out any move, and he is now working towards a return in March.
That has given a number of clubs time to consider their options, with Pepi potentially still representing an option for David Moyes and Co.
A deal for the 24-year-old could be on the cards in the coming months as the Blues go in search of an improvement on Beto for next season.

Ricardo Pepi transfer talks still accelerating
Everton nearly missed out on Pepi in January, with a move to Fulham looking increasingly likely as the window went on.
That broken arm did cause problems for the Cottagers as they were forced to pivot and pick out new options before the window ended.
Marco Silva’s side are still interested in his signature and want to make a deal happen ahead of the summer.
Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink reported on Friday that talks between Fulham and Pepi are accelerating, even with the January window now behind them.
A £30million deal could be possible at Craven Cottage, something which is also likely to pique interest at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
With contract talks yet to be completed, Everton could still bring in Pepi and wave goodbye to Beto ahead of the new campaign on Merseyside.
Pepi could replace Beto at Everton
The America international may represent an unknown quantity to many in L4, but his profile would be something new for the Toffees.
He is famed for his finishing ability, while also having bags of pace and the ability to play key passes and make things happen for his teammates.
Pepi may not be the strongest in the air, but he makes up for it in other areas and looks likely to be a better option than Beto at Everton, as showcased by Sofascore.

The Guinea-Bissau international has been largely frustrating this campaign, and an exit feels increasingly likely.
He may have missed out on that in January, but the summer may finally mark the end of the road for the ex-Udinese man in blue.
That will only happen if a replacement comes in, and bringing in Pepi may prove to be the perfect signing to change the direction of Everton’s faltering forward line.
