Everton have perfect Jack Grealish replacement after latest Champions League heroics
Everton face uncertainty around the future of Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish ahead of next season.
The 30-year-old joined the Toffees on loan last summer from the Sky Blues, and the forward has been a game-changer for them in recent months.
As things stand, the England international has been sidelined after a foot injury and may be out of action for the rest of the season, but it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
David Moyes has admitted the Merseyside outfit can’t afford to trigger the £50million option to buy Grealish in the summer, and if they can’t reach an agreement with the Cityzens to sign him on favourable terms, The Friedkin Group could potentially have to look elsewhere to bolster their attack.

Jens Petter Hauge summer transfer on cards for Everton
Bryan King suggested Everton sign Bodo/Glimt forward Jens Petter Hauge in the winter transfer window, but they ended up getting Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea.
The 20-year-old winger has had an underwhelming start to his stint at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him return to Stamford Bridge.
With Grealish also possibly on his way out at the end of the season, the Toffees will be left with a lack of options at left-wing, making it a priority position for the recruitment department.
Hauge has shown he’s capable of playing at the highest level and may be perfect for the Merseyside outfit after scoring and assisting in Bodo/Glimt’s 2-1 win over Inter Milan in the second leg of the Champions League play-off on 24 February, knocking the Italian giants out of the competition.
The Norway international also scored a goal in the first leg of the tie, also finding the back of the net against Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City in the league phase.
David Moyes to be impressed with Jens Petter Hauge league numbers
Bodo/Glimt lost the 2025 league season by one point to Viking, but Hauge caught many people’s attention with his performances.
The 25-year-old made 28 appearances in the Eliteserien, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
Hauge primarily played on the left-wing and won two penalties, created eight big chances and made the Team of the Week eight times, as per Sofascore.
With 48 per cent dribbling success, winning 4.2 duels and recovering 3.6 balls per game, Moyes would surely like to have someone of his quality at Everton next season.
