Everton to bring in welcome funds as another fixture scheduled for Hill Dickinson Stadium
Hill Dickinson Stadium will host an England Women’s FIFA World Cup 2027 qualifier against Ukraine this summer.
Everton are enjoying their debut 2025-26 season in their brand new Hill Dickinson Stadium home, with David Moyes‘ side ninth in the Premier League table.
The reported £800million-pound venue flung open its doors to the Toffees this term, and is one of the most impressive new football stadiums in the world.
It’s a reflection of the ambition Dan Friedkin and his ownership group have for Everton, and the ground is already being put to use for other teams aside from the Toffees.
Saturday 11 July will see England’s rugby union side take on Fiji, Scotland will play Ivory Coast on 31 March in a friendly, and it’s also set to host five UEFA Euro 2028 games in a few summers’ time.

Hill Dickinson Stadium to host the Lionesses
With a stage as grand as Hill Dickinson Stadium, teams of every kind should have the opportunity to show their talent to the world on it.
In women’s international football, there aren’t many better and more popular than England’s Lionesses, with the back-to-back European champions and 2023 World Cup runners-up flying the flag in tremendous fashion.
As such, they are a real hot property now, with fans desperate to catch a glimpse of Sarina Wiegman’s side, with their games attracting huge numbers of supporters.
Indeed, their 2022 European final win over Germany saw played in front of a record Wembley Stadium crowd of 87,192, in what was one of English football’s finest hours on the international stage in any discipline.

Hill Dickinson Stadium is now ready to get involved in the Lionesses’ action, as confirmed via the stadium’s official Instagram page on Wednesday.
The venue will play host to England Women’s final FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 qualifying group stage match against Ukraine on Tuesday 9 June, in an 8pm kick-off.
It will hand the Lionesses’ the pride of being the first England international side to play at Everton’s new ground, and is sure to see the 52,769-capacity venue sold out.
Ukraine game could have plenty riding on it for Lionesses
England Women’s European qualifying for the 2027 Women’s World Cup begins on 3 March, where they will play Ukraine.
The Lionesses have been drawn in a group alongside Ukraine, Iceland and Spain – who are the number one-ranked international side despite having lost to England on penalties in the 2025 European Championships final.
Iceland also have a strong women’s side too and are ranked 16th in the world rankings, whilst Ukraine are ranked 34th in the world.
And with only the winners of each League A group – what England are in – progressing to the World Cup automatically, that final group game at Hill Dickinson Stadium against Ukraine could have everything riding on it.
