Everton closely monitoring Ez Abde as David Moyes eyes attacking revolution

Everton are on the hunt to sign Ez Abde from Real Betis in the summer.

Spanish outlet Fichajes reported on Friday that the Toffees are closely monitoring the Morocco international’s progress in LaLiga.

Interest has emerged at Hill Dickinson Stadium due to a desire to “revitalise their attack” with an appreciation emerging for his international experience at 24.

He is said to represent an option for the present and future, with his value increasing in recent weeks and months to mirror his performance levels.

Real Betis have set a price tag of £35million to begin negotiations with the upcoming window said to be decisive for Abde’s future prospects.

Everton and West Ham want Ez Abde

The winger already has nine goal involvements in LaLiga this season, bettering his tally from last campaign with ease.

That comes despite his limited game time of just 14 league starts under Manuel Pellegrini, but that has certainly attracted interest from the Premier League.

Everton are in a good position to land his signature, it seems, as they are set to remain in the division without any threat of relegation.

The same can’t be said for West Ham, who are also linked with Abde, but are on the brink of a drop down to the Championship this campaign.

The East London club’s basement battle will reportedly be “crucial” in any attempts to sign the Moroccan once the summer window opens.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side wants the forward to rejuvenate their forward line, but their league position is set to impact their financial planning.

Manuel Pellegrini loves watching Ebde and Antony

The ex-Barcelona man is joined by former Manchester United flop Antony in Betis, and both have been excellent in green and white.

Pellegrini has gotten the best out of the pair in recent seasons, and that has been reflected in his comments from November.

He spoke out of the pair to say: “The two players are going through a good period.

We give them more freedom to play because they are in top form and scoring goals. They offer us entertaining football and attacking prowess, but what pleases me most is the team’s collective spirit.

The idea of seeing an entertaining winger on the flank for the Toffees will certainly excite the L4 faithful, especially if they can also keep hold of Iliman Ndiaye.
