Everton fans about to love Friedkin Group even more amid possible £200m boost
Everton may have the scope to double their £100million summer spend ahead of next season from extra revenue streams.
As per the I Paper, Everton are close to securing record sponsorship deals with major recognised brands thanks to The Friedkin Group and the extra revenue Hill Dickinson Stadium provides.
Some of the hubbub over Everton‘s switch from their beloved Goodison Park to their new home has died down amid an underwhelming set of results in front of the Toffees faithful.
David Moyes was handed a war chest of around £100m last summer, but over the winter window, they only brought in Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea, to cover for injured Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish.
But ahead of the summer transfer window, Everton appear to be primed to splash the cash as they aim to secure European football once again.
Everton have one of the Premier League’s ‘best stories’
Everton’s chief partnerships officer, Mark Rollings, has been extolling the importance and benefits of the club’s owners, saying The Friedkin Group have played a huge role in paving the way for these impending lucrative sponsorship deals.
The report adds that £100m was spent on incomings last summer but with amortisation of transfers and vastly improved revenue streams, there is potentially the scope to “spend double that” this summer.
“You talk about the transformation of the football club, we’re seeing it with the brands that are taking conversations with us,” said Rollings. “I believe we’ve got one of the best stories in the Premier League.
“You’re buying the next three, four, five years and imagine the journey you’re going to go on with this new stadium. That’s really cut through in the market and we’ve been able to have conversations with brands that honestly, I don’t think we’d have been able to previously before the Friedkins took over and we moved to the new stadium.”
He added: “I can’t overplay the significance of the Friedkins. What they’ve brought is clear strategic direction, vision, alignment, clarity and they’ve given us stability.”
The report also states that the owners’ vision is clear: every single penny banked through new sponsors will be invested back into the club. That is likely to excite Everton fans going forward.
Everton have a huge opportunity at their fingertips
Everton are said to be close to finding a replacement for online casino sponsor, Stake, off the back of new Premier League legislation banning gambling companies from front-of-shirt sponsorships.
Moreover, Everton reportedly want to find a training ground sponsor, and in addition to deals with companies in America, The Friedkin Group are eager to expand into markets in the Middle East, Oceania, and Asia-Pacific.
Although the club and the fans will want Everton to secure European football next season, it seems like their financial plan does not make that essential for now.

If Everton qualify for next season’s Conference League, which is likely to go to seventh-placed Brentford as it stands, the Toffees can pocket millions.
But the big windfalls lie in Champions League qualification, with the Europa League unlikely to move the needle on a club’s finances a great deal.
And with the extra sponsorships and stadium revenue, Everton appear to be on the right track. There have been plenty of false downs for the Merseyside outfit but this could be the start of something special.
