Everything we know about Carlos Alcaraz’s contract situation after Everton injury latest
Carlos Alcaraz is facing another injury blow at Everton.
The Argentine has struggled for regular minutes this campaign, having made just six starts in the Premier League so far.
It appears that David Moyes doesn’t rate the 23-year-old particularly highly, and that has seen him maintain his place as a bit-part player on Merseyside.
That isn’t going to change anytime soon, as he now faces a spell on the sidelines with just 11 games remaining until the end of the season.
With Alcaraz seemingly facing an uncertain spell in his career at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Goodison News has rounded up everything to know about his contract.
What is Carlos Alcaraz’s contract situation at Everton?
The 23-year-old signed for the Blues from Flamengo on an initial loan deal in the 2025 winter transfer window.
His performances were enough for that move to be made permanent, as Everton paid a fee in the region of £13million for his services.
That looked to be a steal at the time after he made 16 appearances while on his temporary stint in L4.

That hasn’t continued into his permanent spell under Moyes, with just 673 Premier League minutes under his belt so far.
The Toffees are arguably still getting good value out of the Argentine midfielder as he is reportedly paid just £20,000 per week.
His yearly salary seemingly extends just above £1m, with just two more seasons on his current deal, according to reports.
What has David Moyes said about Alcaraz’s injury?
There will be just one year on his deal come the end of the season, something that could unlock a cut-price exit in an upcoming transfer window.
There will be concerns about that, especially if Alcaraz is going to continue to struggle with injury woes on Merseyside.
He looks set to miss around four weeks of action in L4 after Moyes confirmed his injury blow in his Friday press conference.
He said: “Charly Alcaraz has got an injury which will probably keep him out for three weeks or four weeks, we think. He picked it up in the last minute of training on Sunday.
“He would’ve probably started on Monday night if he hadn’t picked up the injury.“
Alcaraz will hope to bounce back and get into the starting XI to earn himself a new deal; otherwise, he risks being forced out of Hill Dickinson Stadium in 2027.
