David Moyes will be delighted by Premier League announcement for Everton vs Burnley
David Moyes will be looking to continue Everton’s push for Europe, and an announcement made for their fixture against Burnley will keep him happy.
The Blues continued their impressive form away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, as they bested Newcastle 3-2 in Tyneside.
However, if Moyes wants to qualify for European competition, he must address the Blues’ home form.
Everton have overseen just four wins at their new ground this season, collecting just 16 points compared to the 24 they have secured on the road.
With relegation strugglers Burnley coming to Merseyside, Moyes will no doubt be looking to turn that around, and the referee appointed could help that cause.

Tim Robinson appointed as referee for Everton vs Burnley – why Moyes will be happy
Tim Robinson will officiate proceedings on Tuesday night when Everton host Burnley at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as per the Premier League.
Stuart Burt and Nick Greenhalgh will be the linesmen, with Neil Davies on VAR duties, assisted by Michael Salisbury.
Moyes will be looking to end Everton’s home game hoodoo, and the appointment of Robinson could actually aid that goal.
With Robinson in charge of their games, Everton have yet to lose.
Robinson has officiated four matches involving the Blues, all of which have been in the Premier League.
| Everton results with Tim Robinson | Season |
| Everton 1-1 Brighton | 2023-2024 |
| Everton 3-0 Newcastle | 2023-2024 |
| Luton Town 1-1 Everton | 2023-2024 |
| Brighton 0-1 Everton | 2024-2025 |
Additionally, in the last two games, the Sussex-based official has awarded the Toffees a penalty; however, he does appear to be strict with his bookings.
He averages 3.25 yellow cards per game awarded to those wearing the Everton strip.
Has Tim Robinson been in controversy involving Everton?
Robinson has not been embroiled in any majorly controversial decisions in Everton fixtures.
The most egregious call made by Robinson was when he booked Iliman Ndiaye for celebrating in front of the Brighton supporters last season following his goal from the penalty spot.
At the time, former referee Dermot Gallagher felt Robinson got the decision wrong, and Ndiaye should not have been cautioned.
However, that moment is the only one that jumps out, and with that, as well as Everton’s record, there are certainly good omens ahead of the game.
Everton could close the gap to sixth-place Chelsea with a win over Burnley, depending on the London club’s result against Aston Villa.
It is not an easy fixture for the Stamford Bridge club, and the Toffees will be viewing this week as an important one in their goals for the season.
