Paul Merson stunned amid ‘unbelievable’ Hill Dickinson Stadium reveal in Everton vs Burnley prediction
Paul Merson could not believe what he has heard about Everton before their clash with Burnley on Tuesday evening.
Everton head into the clash with Scott Parker’s side at Hill Dickinson Stadium on 3 March after a stunning 3-2 win over Newcastle last time out.
Burnley are a different challenge, as they are desperately fighting what looks like a losing battle to avoid relegation.
Merson believes that the Blues will secure victory again, but he has warned them about one thing in particular.

What did Paul Merson say about Everton vs Burnley?
David Moyes would have been hoping to make their new stadium a fortress this season, but that has not been the case recently.
His side have won just one of their last nine at the ground, a fact which Merson was aghast at, when coming up with his verdict for the contest against the Clarets.
In his weekly predictions piece for Sportskeeda, he called a 2-1 win for the Toffees, but with a caveat, saying: “David Moyes’ team produced an impressive win away from home at Newcastle last time out.
“But it’s unbelievable how poor Everton have been at home this season, they have one win in the last nine games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

“Everton desperately need a win in this game, and I have a feeling they will get back to securing three points at home.”

Why Everton must improve at Hill Dickinson Stadium
The Merseysiders need to improve their home record if they are going to achieve their ambitions of qualifying for European football next season, there is no doubt about that.
There was lots of enthusiasm heading into the campaign about their new surroundings, and the Blues started well, going unbeaten, with three wins and two draws in their first five games there.
However, it has downhill since, and they have lost six of their last 10 home matches, which is more than the five in total that they lost at Goodison Park last season.
If they continue in that fashion, there is surely no chance that they will reach the upper echelons of the top-flight and challenge for continental football qualification as they hope to do at the end of the campaign.
Evertonians will echo the concerns raised by Merson, but they will surely fancy their chances of getting past the seemingly doomed Turf Moor outfit, despite their recent woes at the state-of-the-art stadium.
European football is there for the taking, and the Blues could move up to seventh in the Premier League if they can inflict a heavy defeat on Parker’s team and Brentford suffer defeat against Bournemouth.
