Supercomputer predicts Everton to continue four-year streak vs Burnley in Premier League showdown
Everton will be looking to stop the rot at the Hill Dickinson Stadium when they host Burnley on Tuesday evening.
The Toffees secured a dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle last Saturday, which leaves them eighth in the Premier League and firmly in the race to secure European football.
However, despite being second in the away table, Everton need to fix their worrying form in L4 if they want any chance of having a successful campaign.
David Moyes’ side are winless in their last six Premier League games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, last going longer without a home win in October 1998 (nine).
Up next for them is Scott Parker’s Burnley, and Everton mustn’t drop points against a side that looks destined for relegation.
Supercomputer predicts Everton as heavy favourites vs Burnley
Burnley are currently 19th in the table, and they come into Tuesday’s clash off the back of a crushing 4-3 defeat to Brentford last Saturday.
With 10 games to go, they are eight points adrift of safety, and it’s safe to say that it has been a miserable campaign for their fans.
As a result, Opta’s supercomputer has predicted that the Toffees will comfortably beat the Clarets.
- Everton have been given a 63.3 per cent chance of claiming all three points
- Burnley have a 17.2 per cent chance of securing the win
- A draw has been given a 19.5 per cent probability of occurring
Everton have failed to win any of their four Premier League games against newly promoted sides so far this season.
Only once has Moyes had a longer winless run against promoted teams as Toffees boss, going five without a victory between March and November 2010.
That being said, the Toffees are also unbeaten in three top-flight games against Burnley, keeping a clean sheet in all of them since losing 3-2 at Turf Moor in April 2022.

Moyes’ side are certainly favourites to continue their four-year unbeaten run, but they’ll have to be wary of Burnley’s threat on the road.
Why could Burnley prove to be a tricky test for Everton?
Burnley have come from behind to avoid defeat in three of their last four away league games.
Indeed, only in 2018-19 have they recovered more points from losing positions on the road in a Premier League season (seven) than they have in 2025-26 (six).
The Clarets have scored more Premier League goals when losing than any other side in the Premier League this season (21), with all three of their strikes against Brentford last time out coming when they were behind.
Given the fact that striker Zian Flemming has scored six of Burnley’s 17 away goals, they certainly possess a threat on the road, and the Toffees can’t afford not take them seriously on Tuesday.
