Tyrique George to grow increasingly impatient at Everton after what happened vs Burnley

Tyrique George hasn’t had the expected start to his life at Everton.

The Englishman joined the Toffees on deadline day in the winter window on a loan deal from Chelsea until the end of the campaign.

It looked as if the 20-year-old could prove to be a coup as a new wide option for David Moyes, especially after Jack Grealish’s injury.

That came off the back of his breakout spell at Chelsea last year, where his Conference League performances were particularly positive.

George hasn’t been able to put his stamp on Hill Dickinson Stadium, and frustrations could soon start to show on Merseyside.

Tyrique George played just three minutes vs Burnley

There was an expectation that the youngster would feature for the Blues regularly across the rest of the season as injury cover.

That expectation stepped up when it looked as if Dwight McNeil was going to join Crystal Palace in a £20million switch.

The move fell through at Selhurst Park, and Moyes has allowed the winger back into the starting XI in L4.

That paid off against Burnley as the 26-year-old put in an excellent performance, which limited George to just three minutes off the bench as his Everton struggles continued.

He managed just two touches on the ball and maintained a zero per cent long ball accuracy, while having no attacking impact.

Two recoveries were the only plus points to his game, but as a young forward, that isn’t the sort of thing he’ll want to be doing.

That could prompt some impatience from the Chelsea loanee, which would be totally fair after his start to life on Merseyside.

Everton could face problems with George moving forward

It is unusual to sign a player on loan and get little use out of them, with the winger making just one start so far for the Toffees.

Just 103 Premier League minutes will hardly satisfy George, especially after moving to pick up more game time away from Stamford Bridge.

In defence of Moyes, he will want to see more from the loanee when he does get on the pitch, in a similar fashion to Tyler Dibling.

The Chelsea talent did start against Bournemouth and did very little, so there are changes needed from both sides for this move to work out for all parties this season.
