David Moyes may scrap new Everton transfer plans after Dwight McNeil heroics

Everton fans have been delighted to see Dwight McNeil’s resurgence under David Moyes.

The 26-year-old was clearly left heartbroken after his move to Crystal Palace in the final hours of the winter transfer window fell through.

Having struggled for game time at the Toffees this season, the English forward surely would’ve wanted to move away midway through the season.

Instead of letting the failed transfer bring him down, McNeil has bounced back brilliantly at the Merseyside outfit, and his inspirational form may force the Scottish manager to scrap his recruitment plans for the summer.

Dwight McNeil form at Everton could affect Edon Zhegrova deal

Everton’s possible move for Juventus forward Edon Zhegrova could go through as the Serie A giants are willing to sell him.

It’s been reported that the Italian club are highly likely to accept an offer from Hill Dickinson Stadium for the Kosovo international, whom the Toffees inquired about in January.

The 26-year-old was impressive at LOSC Lille, but he has failed to live up to expectations since moving to Juventus last summer.

Zhegrova primarily plays on the right-wing, a position McNeil has arguably made his own after the wins over Newcastle United and Burnley, leading to a U-turn by the Blues regarding a move for the Kosovar forward.

While the English attacker didn’t score or assist in the last two Premier League games, he was a constant threat in the final third for the Merseyside outfit, leading to a standing ovation from fans in L4.

David Moyes has perfect attacking transfer for European campaign at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Beto and Thierno Barry have done well in recent weeks, but Moyes should look to bolster his attacking options in the summer, especially if the Toffees qualify for Europe.

Everton are eighth in the Premier League table, one point behind Brentford, and qualification for a European competition is in their sights.

Sorloth’s record for Atletico this season

Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth has emerged as a target at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and he may be the perfect number nine to strengthen the Blues’ squad due to his recent experience in the Champions League.

While the Norwegian centre-forward is 30 years old, his proven record in Europe will surely come in handy for the Scottish manager in Merseyside.
