Everton handed incentive to test waters with Ethan Nwaneri bid as Arsenal exit news emerges

Ethan Nwaneri was loosely linked with Everton in the winter transfer window.

Everton will be focused on securing European football for the new campaign, but discussions will already have taken place ahead of the summer transfer window.

And one of the names who may well have popped up again is that of Nwaneri, who was linked with a loan move to Merseyside before joining Marseille on loan until the end of the season.

But the talented teenager could be on the move again in the summer after the latest update from Arsenal, and Everton need to be ready to pounce.

Arsenal could sanction Ethan Nwaneri exit in summer

A report from The Telegraph states that the Gunners will have to sell at least one first-team player this summer to balance the money that was spent ahead of their title push.

It’s noted that an exit for one of Martin Odegaard or Gabriel Martinelli is the most likely, but with Nwaneri out on loan, it may be hard to rule out his departure.

From a PSR perspective, his sale would be far more beneficial than either of the above, given his homegrown status, and if Everton were to show an interest, there is a chance a deal could be done.

Nwaneri has two goal involvements in 216 minutes of league football since he joined Marseille, having started three of the five games he has made an appearance in.

But what is even more impressive about his stint in France is the fact that he is averaging 2.07 chances created per 90, which would certainly be of use for the Toffees.

Fans will fear Tyler Dibling repeat, but here’s why they shouldn’t

Everton signing one of the Premier League’s highest-rated young English talents? Sounds familiar.

But the differences between Nwaneri and Tyler Dibling stretch far beyond just quality, with the former having already made 51 appearances for Arsenal.

He’s had time to get to grips with the Premier League, and the fact he has 10 goals and two assists in that time is a showcase of that.

In comparison, Dibling had played just 33 games of Premier League football before his move to the Toffees, with two goal contributions.

Nwaneri would be a game-changing signing, and one that they need to look into.
