Everton could be set for windfall as big-money Anthony Gordon exit mooted at Newcastle United
Everton could be set to benefit if Newcastle United agree to sell Anthony Gordon.
The England international departed Goodison Park in 2023 and has gone on to improve massively at St James’ Park.
That has seen the 25-year-old remain a regular under Eddie Howe, becoming a useful forward option as a winger and striker in black and white stripes.
He has continued his goalscoring exploits into the current campaign and, despite some struggles, has already contributed to 20 goals in all competitions.
That has prompted plenty of interest in Gordon ahead of the summer, with a move away from the Magpies potentially set to hand David Moyes a boost.

Everton could land multi-million boost from Anthony Gordon sale
Three years may have passed since the Englishman departed Merseyside, but the Toffees could still benefit from his form this season.
Should his goal exploits continue across the final months of the campaign, a summer deal could be sealed for a Newcastle exit.
Former Everton scout Bryan King has now suggested his old side may hold a sell-on clause that could see them benefit well from an upcoming sale.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “I think they’ll have a minimum 20 per cent sell-on clause.

“Who can afford to buy him from Newcastle? Manchester United, Liverpool or maybe a London club.
“He’ll probably go for around £60m.
“I would imagine if he’s sold for over the £40m Everton got for him, they’ll get around 20 per cent of that back.”
When could Gordon leave Newcastle United?
There are generally mixed opinions surrounding the attacker in the north east after a mixed bag of a season.
Gordon may have a positive goal output, but his antics, such as arguing with Kieran Tripper away to Qarabag, have rubbed some fans up the wrong way.
That could prompt many to hope for a summer exit, something which could be entirely possible if the right offer comes in from a top side.
If that doesn’t happen, it feels unlikely that an imminent departure will be on the cards for the Englishman at this stage.
A move may be on the cards further down the line, with 2027 potentially being the year when he moves on from the Magpies.
