Nathan Patterson ‘the chosen one’ as Everton exit back on

Nathan Patterson could face an imminent exit from Everton in the summer.

The Scot was heavily linked with a Sevilla switch in January and that interest still reportedly exists.

A deal didn’t go through over the winter for the 24-year-old, but that won’t stop the Spanish side from pursuing the Toffees’ man when the season ends.

Patterson remains an Everton player right now, with his future now hanging in the balance with nine Premier League matches remaining.

Sevilla eye Juanlu Sanchez replacement

Vamos Mi Sevilla report that Patterson is an option for the LaLiga outfit once again, with the full-back said to be “the chosen one” to complete the right-hand side at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

And the report outlines a new roadmap for the seven time Europa League winners of selling talent to help revitalise their finances.

Juanlu Sanchez is one of those who could be sold in the summer after attracting interest from the likes of Napoli and even Everton recently.

Should the right-back depart, Juan Iglesias has been mooted as a potential option, with Patterson also on the transfer shortlist right now.

Matias Almeyda wants the Everton man on loan as they see him as a young option with positive potential, but he won’t compromise their salary cap.

A deal was previously on the cards in January, but Sanchez remained in Sevilla so left his side without the need for a new full-back option.

That could change in the summer should the Spaniard make his long-awaited exit from Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

Why Patterson is destined to leave Everton in the summer

It seems as if Sevilla have named the ex-Rangers man as their “chosen one” which is bound to prompt increasing levels of summer interest.

The Scot is hardly playing for the Toffees right now, so it would make total sense for David Moyes to let him go and get some more regular minutes.

Jake O’Brien is ahead of him in the pecking order on Merseyside and even James Garner has played their ahead of him this campaign.

That should be enough for him to seal his exit in the summer, especially if Sevilla are to come in and make their interest count.
