Everton have clear Liam Delap answer after new scenes in Wrexham vs Chelsea
Liam Delap is one of the many forwards on Everton’s radar ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
A new centre-forward is the likely priority for the Toffees, with both Thierno Barry and Beto struggling to have the desired impact in front of goal consistently.
The Blues had tracked the now-Chelsea striker last summer, but they were unable to strike a deal with Ipswich and the 23-year-old, who had decided on Stamford Bridge.
Delap is still being tracked by Everton, with his spell in London not quite going as expected for the Englishman.
However, David Moyes may have his answer on whether Delap would be an upgrade next season following Chelsea’s FA Cup win against Wrexham.

Why David Moyes may think twice about Liam Delap signing now
Delap has struggled to start for Chelsea this season due to injury and the form of Joao Pedro.
However, manager Liam Rosenior entrusted the 23-year-old to lead the line against Championship opposition Wrexham in the FA Cup.
It was a chance for the Englishman to prove himself and perhaps force his way back into the starting line-up on a more permanent basis for the London club.
Delap, though, did not seemingly take that chance, as the striker struggled to cause Wrexham much trouble.
The former Ipswich man had just one blocked shot, completed 10 passes and took just 29 touches during his 85-minute appearance, as per Sofascore.
Additionally, he won just 42 per cent of his duels and completed just 40 per cent of his dribbles. Overall, it was far from a convincing performance as Chelsea limped through.

Moyes may now be questioning whether Delap is the right man for Everton, as he was ultimately lacklustre against a second-tier opposition.
Why Delap is not what Everton need
Moyes has done an excellent job at Everton this season, with the Toffees still in the hunt for European qualification.
Now, the Blues will need to continuously progress in the summer, and that can be achieved by signing a proven striker.

Delap, while impressive at Ipswich, still seems to have a chip on his shoulder and right now would present a real risk for Everton.
He has been unable to make a difference for a side chasing Europe, just as Everton are, and that is a telltale sign he may not be the right fit for the Hill Dickinson club.
Moyes would do better to look elsewhere and bring in a more guaranteed success in the summer.
