Everton’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall surely leads the way as votes open for Premier League accolade

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has arguably been Everton’s best signing of the summer.

The Toffees had a busy summer window, bringing in the likes of Tyler Dibling, Jack Grealish, and Thierno Barry, but right now, Dewsbury-Hall is proving to be the creme of the crop.

David Moyes has the Blues pushing for European qualification after their success in the Premier League of late, and it’s largely down to his star Englishman.

Dewsbury-Hall came to Hill Dickinson Stadium with a big reputation following a transfer from Chelsea, and his performances so far show the impact he’s made above anyone who was brought in this summer.

Premier League nominate Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for summer signing vote

The Premier League’s official X account posted their voting system for fans to have their say on who has been the signing of the summer so far this Saturday.

The vote includes Manchester United’s Benjamin Sesko, Manchester City’s Antoine Semenyo, Chelsea’s Joao Pedro, and Everton‘s Dewsbury-Hall.

When considering factors like transfer fee, individual impact and team success, pound for pound, the Toffees’ playmaker should win this vote.

There could be an official award presented once the season concludes, but as things stand, Dewsbury-Hall is surely leading the way ahead of these other multi-million-pound players.

Had the 27-year-old not suffered his recent injury, the Blues would most likely have an even better Premier League points tally right now.

Who has been Everton’s most underrated player this season?

Lots have been said about the likes of Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish, and Iliman Ndiaye, and rightly so. However, Moyes’ core group of defence is what has also helped carry the Blues so far this campaign.

James Tarkowski has been at the heart of this, and at 33-years-old, he’s not getting any younger, but is still performing at the highest level.

His goal against Burnley in Everton’s recent 2-0 win will be fresh in the mind, but for the most part, he has been an unsung hero this campaign.

The centre-back has seen the highs and lows of the Blues, but always seems to come out of the other end of any bad spells the Toffees find themselves in.

Everton’s Player of the Season Award may be one of the most difficult choices in recent seasons when it’s all said and done.
