Report: Everton could swoop for £21m-rated five-time Ligue 1 winner
Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot could be allowed to leave the Italian champions for just £21million this month, with Everton interested.
A report from Sport Mediaset on Wednesday claimed that the Toffees and their Premier League rivals Arsenal are monitoring the French international’s status in Turin.
If either team come in with offers between £21million-£25million then Juve would likely be forced to consider letting a player go who only joined them last summer.
However, the fact that Rabiot was a free signing, combined with his indifferent performances, has opened the door for Carlo Ancelotti’s team to potentially steal in.
The Everton boss worked with the 24-year-old at his previous club Paris Saint-Germain, where Rabiot won five Ligue 1 titles.
He’s made just seven starts in all competitions since joining Maurizio Sarri’s side, though, resulting in a measly total of 711 minutes of game time.
In other Everton news, several Everton supporters have torn into one midfielder for his lacklustre performance against Manchester City on Wednesday.
