Ancelotti reveals Everton first teamer had Thursday injury scan
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Toffees midfield stalwart Fabian Delph had a scan on an injury on Thursday.
The Italian was forced to provide updates on two injured players at his pre match press conference on Friday.
Playmaker Bernard missed out on Wednesday’s defeat to Manchester City after picking up an injury in the warm-up, so Ancelotti provided details about both men.
“Bernard we will check today in training,” he said, as per the Liverpool Echo [09:29].
“We had [a] problem with Fabian Delph – he had a scan yesterday on his knee, he seems good but we will see today.
“The other players are a little bit tired but that is normal.”
Delph has endured a bit of a stop-start time at Goodison Park since his summer switch from champions Manchester City, starting just 11 of the team’s 21 Premier League games thus far.
However, Ancelotti’s assertion that he seems to look good after the scan is positive news regarding his chances moving forward.
