‘Certainly…’ – Carlo Ancelotti details insight into his future with Everton ‘project’ shared
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has given a hint surrounding his future at Goodison Park in a recent interview.
The Italian signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at the Toffees when he moved to Merseyside in December, a contract that will take him up to the end of the 2023-24 season.
Ancelotti is not known for his long stints at clubs and has bounced around some of Europe’s biggest teams throughout his career.
The Everton boos hinted his would like to stay with Everton for a longer spell though, referring to it as a long-term project.
“I will carry on coaching as long as I find a club that will give me that possibility,” he told Sky Sports.
“Clubs continue to give me that possibility, so as long as there are these two conditions I will carry on coaching.
“I can’t tell you now if Everton will be the last team, certainly I would like to carry out a long-term project with this club, not a short or medium-term one.”
Paolo Di Canio has slammed Ancelotti recently, claiming that his success has come from joining clubs that have the players available to him already, rather than having to build a club.
Ancelotti has turned things around though at Goodison Park since arriving and has put the Toffees in a place to challenge for European football possibly this season.
Despite being 12th in the Premier League, Everton only remain four points behind Tottenham in 7th and that could be a realistic target with a string of wins behind them.
