Carlo Ancelotti shares significant update on fitness of Richarlison ahead of Spurs clash
Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Everton forward Richarlison should be available for the Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Italian confirmed that the Brazilian forward is expected to return to training on Saturday as the Toffees prepare for the clash on Monday.
Richarlison sustained an ankle knock in the Blues’ 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Wednesday evening and was taken off in the second half.
Ancelotti delivered the update on the South American on Friday, as the Toffees look to extend their great start to the Premier League restart.
“Richarlison didn’t train but I think he will be able to train tomorrow and he is not going to have problems to play on Monday,” he told the official club website.
“I think he will be fine. He has to train on Saturday and Sunday but I think he is recovering well from the knock and he is not going to have problems.”
Ancelotti confirmed that Djibril Sidibe will be available once again for the clash, but Fabian Delph and Theo Walcott will miss the game in North London.
Richarlison has been superb since the restart, and was even better in the 57 minutes he featured in against Spurs.
The 23-year-old scored, had two shots on goal as well as making two tackles and an interception according to WhoScored.
Not only does Richarlison lead the line fantastically, but he also puts great pressure on the opposition defence out of possession and will be key to the Toffees picking up a result against Spurs.
