Carlo Ancelotti shares Everton-Premier League promise made to Farhad Moshiri

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has promised owner Farhad Moshiri that he will take the Toffees to the top of the Premier League after the club’s accounts were announced.

The accounts detailed that Moshiri has invested over £400 million in the club in an effort to restore the Toffees’ status as a top English side.

The Italian boss wants to repay the faith that Moshiri has shown him since he arrived on Merseyside and reiterated his despite to take Everton ‘to the top’.

Ancelotti is quoted by The Guardian as saying, “My reaction [to the accounts] is that I understand the owner is really attached to the club and really focused on improving this club.”

“This is really important for the club and for all the supporters. The pressure I have is that he has a lot of confidence in me.

“He has trust in me because he signed me and he brought me to Everton. I’m doing it to bring his club to the top. That is my goal and what I promised to him.”

Ancelotti’s side started the season in fine form and set the pace in the Premier League over the first few weeks of the campaign.

However, results have declined recently but after a much-needed win against Chelsea last weekend, things are looking bright again at Goodison Park.

With Moshiri seemingly committed to investing as much money into the club as he can, it is entirely possible that the Toffees could be challenging at the top of the Premier League in the very near future.

The club already has a world-class manager and some top players in James Rodriguez and Richarlison.

With more money being spent in the future and a new state of the art stadium on the way, there is plenty to be excited about as an Everton fan.

In other Everton news, Danny Murphy has suggested that the Toffees should target Tottenham’s Dele Alli.
