Many Everton fans react to Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal in FA Cup win v Sheffield Weds
Everton cruised past Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday evening at Goodison Park.
Carlo Ancelotti named a strong side in Merseyside against the Championship outfit, including the likes of James Rodriguez and Richarlison.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin also returned to the starting XI after missing weeks with an unfortunate injury after his lightning start to the campaign.
The England international picked up exactly where he left off.
After brilliant work from Andre Gomes who smashed a ball across the box, DCL proved he hasn’t lost his predator instinct, sneaking in at the back post to fire home.
That was his 15th goal in all competitions, including his first in this competition after missing the last round against Rotherham.
With three games in the next week against Leicester, Newcastle and Leeds, it was vital that DCL returned and got back into the flow of things quickly.
There will be sterner tests that the Owls coming up, but it appears as though Calvert-Lewin will be ready for anything that comes his way.
Many Everton fans have reacted to the return of Calvert-Lewin, and they were delighted with his goal and impact on the side.
The majority were also impressed with the work of Gomes in the build-up of the opening goal, as the Toffees continued their run.
